Our Mission

Our purpose as an FFA chapter is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Awards & Accomplishments

  • Top 10 - Gold Buckle Livestock Judging - 2024

    In 2024, a team of four members earned 10th place at the Gold Buckle Livestock judging contest in Ottumwa, IA. Members on team were Ajla Alicic, Seriah Nolin, Gretchen Uitermarkt, and Tristen Valcore.

  • Gold Rating - Chapter Exhibit

    Rylee DeHaai with the support of other chapter members created a chapter exhibit showcasing how our chapter assisted with the Iowa State Fair Animal Learning Center in 2023. Rylee received a gold rating at Iowa FFA Convention.

  • Gold Rating - Farm Business Management

    In 2024, Carter Dudley, Kaleb DeVries, Kaden Clark, an Alex Wendt competed in Farm Business management at Iowa FFA Convention. They earned a gold as a team!

  • Platinum Challenge Award - 2024

    In 2024 we were recognized at Iowa FFA State Convention for our involvement with the Iowa FFA Alumni Association.

  • Graceland Support

    In 2024, at Iowa FFA Convention we received funding from Graceland University to support our agriculture education program.

  • Silver Rating - Team Ag Sales

    In 2024, Seriah Nolin, Ajla Alicic, Gretchen Uitermarkt, and Mitch Holmes competed in team ag sales. They received silver rating as a team.

  • SC District Alumni Supporter Winner - 2023

    In 2023 we were recognized at Iowa FFA State Convenion for our involvement with the Iowa FFA Alumni Association.

  • Iowa FFA Talent Winner - 2023

    Kaitlyn Smith represented our chapter in 2023 at the Iowa FFA State Convention Talent show. She sang and played an original song winning first place, advancing to Nationals! At Nationals she placed in the top 10.

  • 8th Place State FFA Agronomy - 2023

    In 2023, Carter Dudley, Alex Wendt, Nate Richards, and Rebecca De Vries competed in the State Iowa FFA Agronomy Contest and earned 8th Place.

  • 1st Place Livestock Judging Team - 2023

    Meredith Chipps, Rebecca De Vries, and Ajla Alicic won first place as a team in the senior division at the Jasper County Fair.

  • 3rd Place National Agriscience Fair - 2023

    Trey Voeller earned 3rd place at National FFA Convention with his Food Science Agriscience Research project.

  • State Food Science Winner - 2022

    In 2022, Nate Richards, Trey Voeller, Meredith Chipps, and Rylee DeHaai recieved gold at state and won first place, advancing them to Nationals.
