History of Diamond Trail FFA: The Merger of Monroe and Prairie City Chapters
Our Diamond Trail FFA chapter has a unique backstory. Our chapter began with two separate groups: the Monroe and Prairie City FFA chapters. Monroe kicked things off back in 1947, while Prairie City created their own not too long after. Then, in 1990, they decided to team up and create something even bigger and better: Diamond Trail FFA. It was like combining two awesome powers to form a superpower.
Now, you might be wondering, "Why Diamond Trail?" Well, the name comes from a road that winds its way through our school district, Prairie City Monroe (PCM). It's called Diamond Trail because on a map, the road was marked with little diamonds. So, just like that road connects different places, our FFA chapter connects students who are passionate about agriculture and leadership.
When Monroe and Prairie City joined forces, it gave Diamond Trail FFA a big boost. We still carry on the great traditions and lessons learned from both Monroe and Prairie City. Today, Diamond Trail FFA is all about teaching students about strengthening agriculture, growing leadership, and making a positive impact. We're committed to carrying on the legacy of our founding chapters and helping new leaders grow and succeed!
